About Me:

I am 31 years old with CF, CFRD, CF Arthritis, Asthma and Hypothyroidism. I also have hearing aids due to Vancomycin and Tobramycin use over the years. I love talking to people about CF, so ask me anything. I have had 9 sinus surgeries this far and I have had 4 ports.
I love to read and could live off Chinese food. I also love animals and I have 5 dogs and 4 cats.

At 2:37pm on March 11, 2008, Pami said…: Hello,Miss Wendy,I'm exploring our new sight and came by to greet you.My,you've been thru a lot of sinus surgeries.My daughter had CF,but only two sinus surgeries.The second one nearly took her life.Jolene had the arthritis,scoliosis, asthma and allergies.She was allergic to the vancomycin and a few other drugs..She had one of her ports for nine years before it wore out.I did all her accesses and I did all her IV therapy at home.We lived in a little rural town and there was no one who knew how to care for a CF patient,so I had to learn to do it to protect her and see that her needs were met with as little discomfort and anxiety as possible.
( later she learned to do it all herself).We had a great medical team and they taught me and worked well with us.Caring for her was my life,a ministry in many ways.I was blessed to have her much longer than was ever thought possible.I've had to learn how to live without her,my precious child who grew up to be my best friend.
I'm glad to meet you and I wish you all the best.This is a really special thing Ann has created.I wish I had something like this when she was still with me.Take care,dear.God bless you.

I also lost my mom kinda as a result of CF she was killed in a car accident coming home from the hospital 7 years ago, and my brother in law died from it and 2 of my cousins they was brother and sister so it has taken its toll on our family, but I know it was all for a reason all of them loved God and had touched so many others lifes doctors, nurses, and our exstended CF family if they had not had this disease these people wouldnt had the opportunity to see Gods light shine through them. My sister Dee died several times she had seen God and was able to come back and spread his word "The time is near, be ready, do Gods will, spread his word'. She spread this message for over a year when at that time she was only given 6 months to live.Question?? have you had a transplant if not you are the oldest person I know to live this long without one. My cousin Keith was 27 when he died that was about 13 years ago he was a distant cousin thats where we traced the disease back on my moms side of the family....funny thing is we had known them all our grown up years went to church with them and didnt know we was related and didnt know they had CF. So did you check out my videos 1 is my brother in law doing a news cast about him and my sisters short lives together, another is a news cast of climb for a cure my brother in laws dad is a firefighter and he did this all 40 stories, then the others are pics slide shows of my sisters, and Song Angels in Waiting that song makes me cry. Well I hope hope I didnt ramble on to much. Have a nice weekend. PS I almost died from my sinus surgery had to have blood transfusion, my brother in law Doug almost died from his too my sisters never had any problems with theirs I guess God let me have problem for them LOL

I went to visit her one day and seen she had it in a tank I was like oh wow you got a snake only for her to start to laugh at me because I thought it was a real snake and her it was fake. My picture is of her and her husband, and my other sister Dee (age 21) and her husband they was both married a month and a day before they went to heaven and 5 months later my sister Mistys husband Doug (age 21) went to join them. Your poor nose 9 sinus surgeries I thought one was torture. well im gonna get off may God be with you.
